That worked perfectly, thanks!
Onto the next problem, but I'll put that on the joggler forum.

Thanks for asking.

You're welcome. I might tidy it up a bit and post the instructions as a
guide of sorts over on the Joggler Forum at some point. Might be useful

Heh. Probably a few on both.
Given the touch is no longer sold, or in fact any of the original
hardware, the demand for this stuff has gone up quite a bit.
I got a couple of touches on fleebay and found they don't like being
powered off very much.

And I see this.

This is the SqueezeplayerOS on Joggler, so I cannot update.
However i did have a look at home too. on my Synology NAS I have LMS
installed as a package, so again I cannot control the version.
I don't really want to have to compile this stuff...

Sorry, what I mean is the original question, the option to defeat

I want click on song to either just open the menu, or to auto add to
end/next
What I don't like is people clicking on a song and it replaces the whole
playlist.
However I cannot find any of the options to solve

On the Touch, what happens when you press and hold a song title. It
should produce a popup menu that allows those options.

I've not been able to find this option on my touch, or on Joggler
running squeezeplayer OS.
Is it not available for these?
Thanks

Found the answer!
Although Party Mode was on and the Play button was not available,
selecting an item caused destructive play because neither Play Next nor
Add to End had been selected. Once one of these is selected, destructive
play is no longer an option.

I'm familiar with the playback modes, thanks. But sometimes guests are
apt to press the play icon and then select a track, with the usual
unintended result.
Just tried enabling Party Mode, but that doesn't stop destructive play
behaviour either. Am I missing something obvious?

In iPeng, have a look at "Help->Albums and Playlists" to learn how to
get around the destructive play using the "playback modes".
Alternatively, you can enable the party mode which kills it altogether.

Is there an answer for why the 'Defeat destructive touch to play'
setting isn't available for ip3k players? Is that a limitation of the
interface or just an oversight?
IIRC part of it is implemented in the SP firmware.

If you warnt to browse settings pages on iPad, use the "EN" skin
(http://server:9000/en). If you have iPeng, browse the settings through
the advanced settings menus in iPeng, that way you also get rid of the
frames.

Good to hear. I *knew* I should have checked with a normal browser,

Hi everyone,
Although I am new to the forum I have been a lurker for a couple of

It's minor but it's drives me mad.
I quite often like to build a playlist as I listen. This is simply done
by pressing and holding your track o
LMS (back when it was called something else) briefly had a feature
called "Party mode" that did exactly what you want. That feature was
removed, but it has been re-introduced in LMS 7.8, which is currently in
beta. It is a switchable feature, so you can have either the current
behavior or your pre
