So Yes. I wound up moving the power adaptor to my MOCA Fios extender in
my office, And the SBT remains in my family room as has always been the
case. Its been up and running for 24 hours with no WiFi drops. I realize
this is not as good as having a Ethernet cable directly from router to
touch, bu

Your router may not support it. If you have dedicated WAPs they should

Do you know the renewal interval for the dhcp IP Address lease in the
router? Normal is 24 hours I think.
If the SBT is switched off longer than the renewal interval then the
router will treat it as new, although it may give it the same address.
Can you reserve

I think there is a bit of confusion creeping in to the discussion. :)
EDO will only do 192/24 bit
Looking briefly on-line (I obvs don't have the dac )
I found reference to the Oppo have a 32 but digial volume control

@gellie - its not the Oppo you need to check ;) It 'requires'
connections that are set to 32-bit... You need to check the settings on
your USB output source software (i.e. the SB Touch, or in EDO?).

The Oppo 105 Sabre DAC is one of the type that needs to be set to 32-bit
always for the source of the USB connection - so it could be an issue
with the software setting for the player if it's not the Touch's
internal O/S Squeezelite Player?
I have a 105D and used to use my Touch with it all the

So I hooked up the touch to the oppo via coax. Turned everything off
overnight. Rebooted up this morning fine. But, I had to initially select
analog/digital as output. Digital only did not work.

Been running EDO on my Touch via the coax output into my external DAC
for what seems like forever.
Hook the Touch up with coax into the Oppo.
You can turn both off if you want, and things will work fine when you
turn the 2 devices on.
I did look at the Oppo manual, and it does not accept 24/192
I have not used this method of playback for several years.
I seem to remember that if I disconnected the dac, then I would have to
reboot on reconnection of the dac. But I know that Triode intended to
make it hot-plugable.

Just tried this with an IfI Nano usb dac.
Connected it up and selected it as output, sconfirmed it running from
the info stream.
Switched the dac off.
Waited a little while and on the SBT went to Settings > advanced >

two outputs listed
Analog + digital

Have you tried the above and selected Digital only for the audio output
and used a coax ro toslink spdif connection into the dac.
How is the dac powered ?
Try connecting
Having never used EDO, or even a USB DAC on the Touch, I'm not familiar
with the way the DAC is selected. Does it show up as a list of possible
output devices, e.g.:
Code:
sysdefault:CARD=DAC
front:CARD=DAC,DEV=0
surround21:CARD=DAC,DEV=0
surround40:CARD=DAC,DEV

So I left the Oppo on all night and power off the touch. Still had to
reselect digital output Oppo and reboot for it to work. Anybody have
ideas?

So it looks like the disconnect occurs when I power off the Oppo.
Despite having it programmed to boot up on USB input. Is there some
setting I need to change on the Oppo ?
gellie's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/m
When I power off Touch and Oppo I need to go through the same reboot
even time to get it to work:
Advanced/Digital output/select audio output/digital only===> reboot
after reboot:
Settings/advanced/digital output/ select audio output/USB audio
Oppo> reboot
Is this correct or do I have so
