thanks. i just tried it and still get "ERROR: The site seems not
support XML-RPC."
my guess is that xml_rpc really is not working on my site. i will try
reverting to an earlier version of trac to see if i can get the
xml_rpc plugin
Turns out you have to put the pre.wiki {} AFTER the ?>

Do I have to restart something?
Do I have to modify my .ini file?

Thanks for the extremely quick response.
You're exactly right that I had installed Genshi 0.4.4. After
grabbing the trunk version of Genshi (i.e. Genshi-0.5dev_r865) and
installing, the ticket_clone.py plugin works like a charm. Better
yet, it works and I now see it show up in Admin's Manage Pl

I've been using Versions for the past couple days. Nothing heavy, just
between my local copies and a free account on beanstalk. It would be
cool if Trac picked up that Web2.0 look like Lighthouse.

Is there a way for a TRAC_ADMIN user (with webadmin installed) to add
a new user to the pull down list of names that once can assign a
ticket to when 'restrict_access' is TRUE?
I know that the user will show up after logging in - and setting their
email address - but I'd like to be able to empowe

Probably easier to use LDAP directly. For authentication you can use
mod_authnz_ldap or AccountManager+TracLDAPAuth. For permissions and groups
data you can use LdapPlugin.

Check your log to be sure (make sure it is set to DEBUG), but chances are
you don't have Genshi 0.5dev installed which is required for that plugin.
Also, single-file plugins are automatically enabled, you do not need
anything in the [components] section for it.

I've got Trac 0.11rc1 up and running with Apache authentification and
am hooked into our SVN repo. So far so good. Now the newbie

How do I install the ticket_clone.py sample plug-in noted in the

Hi,
I've installed trac 0.10 on my Ubuntu server where I have an svn repo.
Now I have some doubt about authorizations ad permissions.
The server is attached to our Active Directory trought PAM.
So I've thought to use the AD users and groups for trac and give them
the various permissions...Is it
In 0.11, you could make a custom Trac permission policy that examines a
node's (file's) properties to determine what permission is needed. Combine
that with subversion autoprops and you should have a fairly flexible
solution.

Thanks for all your replies. This isn't really an SVN issue. That's
all password protected, so my only concern is the extra access that
the Trac browser provides. I'm aware of the downloadable_paths
parameter, but this only affects what directories can be downloaded
packaged as a zip file.

Eleonore,
if you want to write the version number, you can just create a custom
field, named My Version, and delete all of the versions that is
configured at Version table.
It's a solution that I'm using.
And, wherever I want to make reports filtered by Version, I just use

Hi,
I'm working on a game where I have both source code and assets managed

Thanks

Hi,
I wrote an init.d script for starting tracd automatically and thought
it would be nice to share it. It was tested on Ubuntu server but
should also work as is on fedora and similar. The script is pretty
flexible and allows to alter the options passed to tracd with ease.
