I'm not sure the old model generally supported $10,000 license fees. At least not in USD dollars. Though the new subscription model certainly seems to think they can get away with it. Not quite sure how that is going to work. I'm guessing Microsoft will probably discount the subscription for

Given my recent experience with unplug and youtube, I cannot second this recommendation. In most attempts to stream a video, I get a maximum of 10 seconds of playback, then it just stops. There's a browser tab open, with nothing but 'videoplayback' as an 'mp4' video object. Cheers,

I was not referring to the documentation that is specific to Trisquel. For instance, the manual I recently wrote about chatting may be useful for the book... and writing an analogue section in the book would lead to an improved manual in Trisquel's documentation.

I think there's a huge lack of introductory resources for the target users you describe, so I encourage you to keep with your idea of the book. Every time I install a new version of a libre distribution for myself or for other people, I start dreaming a lot on a help system for beginners.

Just something I've been curious about. Why in particular does Trisquel have its own Firefox fork, rather than just using IceCat (with certain modifications for Trisquel)? It seems that would ease some of the work it takes to maintain it.
