Better to use gksudo to run graphical programs.
A few things:
1. We don't have control over the entire process. Every company is dependant
on dozens if not hundreds of others. The quality is limited to what is
available. Doing more extensive design and development is not going to happen
without significant investments and more demand.
:) my joke about having a non-existent 'pre' release aside. The reason is
simply that Trisquel 6 does not include a kernel which will load the free
firmware and neither is the firmware included.
All kernels which load non-free kernel and Debian's kernels (I believe)
should load the free fir
You just made four links to sites that recommend non-free software. If the

I would lean towards Clarendon Text, because it doesn't have a pro version
like the other two, so we would get something just the same as the
proprietary version [except for the nameĀ
I found some samples on MyFonts.com:

Anybody care to start a crowdfunding campaign?
It's hard to judge fonts by some of their samples IMHO. I would have to
see a sample document to make any informed decisions. But they have a
nice sample for Albertan Pro, which I quite like:

Why can't you start such a crowdfunding campaign? It was your idea, after
all.
And I know that $30,000 sounds like a lot of money, but if 3,000 people all
contributed $10, that would cover it. I think it could be done, if enough
people knew that such a crowdfunding campaign existed.
it is really cool! T shirt is great too.
Yeah,
with the command sudo nautilus I was able to copy on SD card and USB key.
Many thanks @aloniv & @onpon4

Check this out, I notice that you do enjoy fonts overall.
Scribes do exist such as the ones that work in any judicial court, you know
the guy that records all conversations of the court case in a type writter
and in a way lawyers are scribes. Example: my brother is a lawyer and he h
I tried sudo do-release-upgrade and it went through the process. At the end,
it said upgrade complete but there was something that did not complete. I ran
do-release-upgrade again and it still said something was not completed. Upon
reboot, things looked the same. I ran the Update Manager and
Now, on the opposite end of the spectrum, just how acceptable is it for a

distribution for a fee? The FSF mentions this as a reason that the Code

I meant exactly what I said. Linux != GNU/Linux
Was that to ADFENO? Because he didn't indicate using nonfree software
anywhere, and that was the thread you replied to.
The Trisquel community guidelines are here:

You can read that:
We will not distribute, recommend, or otherwise support non-free

I really, really hope you didn't mean GNU/Linux.
I tried it again just now. It looks like you're right about it not being a
web-browser thing. Thank you onpon4!
I agree both with quantumgravity and onpon4.
I like the Nouveau module, my computer has two Trisquel versions, one being
the latest version (6.0, Toutatis) and the other being version 5.5
(Brigantia). I'm testing version 6.0, but my favorite so far is version 5.5.
I like to use version 5.5
I haven't tried to copy the files as root.
SD cards and USB keys are fat 32.
SD cards aren't locked :-)
This evening I'll try with nautilus.
Thanks
Yeah, permissions might be the thing if your USB sticks and such are ext or
something similar rather than FAT. Alternatively, this might sound silly, but
check the "lock" switch on the SD card(s): there's an optional feature that
will cause an SD card to be treated as read-only when that is i
Using nonfree software is not unethical, but you victimize yourself by doing

You are forgetting one important fact: Not everyone pays for proprietary

Those who pay for software, pay for it willingly.

That's not ethical either.
If he wants to run a proprietary software, it's bad for him, but for no one

Think of a friend of yours wants to do something bad for him and maybe
unethical (but only concerning him, so don't come along with cheating with a
wife or something like this) and he
