Hello, everybody,
I use Trisquel 6.0, with Firefox and Chatzilla.
I talk with some people that use mibbit on a "closed" cat (we're given the
passowrd). I have several questions :
- I can change my nicknanes. It means anyone can change it. It anyone can
take my nickname. What to do so that
Triskel is KDE on top of Trisquel, plus a few apps.
Are you writing about selecting GTK+ themes, or selecting Oxygen colour
schemes, or selecting Qt themes (where the options are "GTK+, Motif, Windows,
Oxygen, etc")? (Oh, and a screenshot of LxAppearance and your theme setting
would be nice
Congratulations!
What solution do you propose to this problem, exactly?
What we're doing right now is fumbling with trying to convince thousands of
people who completely disagree with us to start specially accommodating us.
I'm suggesting a slightly different approach: convince thousands of people to

I think that Gnash should also be featured as important- there are people
that need Flash for work or school, and it may just save them from having to
use proprietary software.
Last year, I needed to use a website that required Flash for school.
Thankfully, Gnash worked with it. Gnash saved m
Any theme I apply it only affects already opened windows, new windows are
using the gtk (3?) theme (set with lxappeareance), with kde colors.
The behavior is also in Triskel, not just KDE on top of Trisquel; and it
affects all themes (Oxygen included). Any ideas ?
Thanks in advance.
I'm skeptical of just coreboot or Skype-replacement development
succeeding at freeing users' computers. You need nontrivial skills to
flash coreboot (unless it's on a sufficiently old system where someone
provides trustworthy binaries, like Lenovo does), and to use the
Skype-replacement you need t
I have Trisquel installed on an Acer Aspire 7739 and don't experience any
problems like this. Did you install all the updates after installing the
system? Maybe there is a fix already in the updated packages.
Good to see things happening beyond software, at the computer level.
The brightness buttons on the laptop itself, and the corresponding ones on
the external keyboard have F5/F6 set up to adjust brightness. Neither work.
I wouldn't be surprised if it had something to do with the Radeon. Thanks.
Don't know. Start a new thread and propose it.
IRC is gold:

Please be welcome if you are Romanian speakers or want to learn Romanian
helping Trisquel users. :-)
Can you adjust the brightness on your monitor?
Acer Aspire 8943G, 16GB memory, i7 processor, mobile radeon HD5800. No known
hardware problems. During boot-up of Trisquel, the screen brightness drops,
maybe 50%. Hard reset(remove all connections and battery, and hold power
switch for 15+ seconds) restores backlight to a good level. Happen
You should buy another card or a USB adapter. Some laptop brands artificially
prevent you from swapping a Wifi card and have the substitute work. A
Linux-libre compatible USB adapter will always work. The problem is to find a
card/adapter that is Linux-libre compatible. What matters is the ch

downloaded Intel Wifi Link 5100 drivers. But when i opened LICENSE* file,
