That is not necessarily a good thing. I would rather say it may be risky (not
tested well enough).

What are these?

I don't and I am not planning one for the moment. I just don't
Own network = a network in which you can communicate without external
interference, independent of company X, Y, Z.
I am attempting to install PureOS 8.0 (beta) on a libreboot Taurinus laptop
running Trisquel 8 using virt-manager. Everytime I try to create the PureOS
virtual machine, I get a black screen filled with a whole lot of meaningless
stuff on it. The screen freezes so all I can do is restart the
ETS does too. The current ETS kernel is 4.4, and KPTI appeared in 4.4.110.
I would guess that not executing proprietary code is a good solution, but I
would also say, Leah probably will come up with something somewhere down the
road if it is needed.
:)
Ah you misunderstand, I meant within the website itself. Kind of like
posteo.de's method of doing so.
Interesting, its worth looking up I am sure. I don't quite know the answer at
this time.
I have distro hopped between devuan, parabola and trisquel a few times.
But I finally found what I was looking for in hyperbola. One of which being,
the quick updates feature. The other being, the packages are updated way
more often then devuan. And the last being, its all free software man!
By 'Own network' are you referring to using Mesh Network?
I am not sure about the extended-term support (ETS) version. I am certain
that all other versions that jxself's repository currently propose have the
KPTI patches.
I still haven't figured out how to add a gpg key to it yet
Have you tried following the steps on

hmm... I don't know much about ring,
I just know for desktops its pretty freakin decent.
I should also add 4gb cloud storage and also, it costs nothing unless you

Which others have you compared, on what criteria and how do they handle the
ring -2 and -3 issues?
What do you think of Autistici/Inventati? I've done some research, and they
seem to be solid in terms of the security and privacy they offer.
Why should the communication go through "your own network"? Those are your
words. Isn't your interlocutor entitled to control the network carrying the
communication as much as you are? Should you and your interlocutor build a
network you administrate together? Good luck if an ocean separa

It seems so...

The email provider does NOT run only free software. NO computer in this world
does that as of today. I wonder why it is so difficult for most people here
to understand this.

You can set up a communicative network with more people than yourself and
still be isolated from the Internet. I think that was what he meant.
2. You say: Free software end-to-end encryption, using good-enough cyphers
and protocols, is the solution.
With your own isolated network you would only communicate with yourself,
i.e., not communicate. Free software end-to-end encryption, using
good-enough cyphers and protocols, is the solution. It works on the
Internet. That is for the data. For the meta-data, the best we have is Tor.

Some of your hardware might have better support in a newer kernel. If this
one is working fine I wouldn't update it as it could only cause problems you
did not have before.
So when I install Trisquel with the generic (4.4.0-112-generic) kernel
everything is working dandy.
Could someone ELI5 the potentially advantages of updating the kernel?
Yeah, I know, I know, I should have contacted eBay. I only got to a page
where everything was so generic that I thought I'd check here if anyone knew.
I'll try checking the "include description" box.
Thank you for your answer!
Interesting. Thanks for sharing.
I hope it won't be a 1.April joke :)

FOSDEM when they will be ready to deliver. They said that they would start in
April 2018 with email hosting first

Only if you create your own network, completely isolated from the Internet.
For Internet: Abdullah's advice is perhaps the best compromise.

I thought over what your suggestion. I am going to buy a libreboot laptop.
