Using a thread that has nothing to do with systemd to publicly shame a
systemd developer doesn't strike me as a very nice thing to do. How would you
like it if on some forum about, I don't know, turkey sausages, some random
guy was linking to your posts on the Trisquel forums and making fun
Man, you need to chill out, I was only saying that they should have locked
the thread or left it open to everyone.
geez, and stop telling me what to do man, you are not my master.
ps, in trisquel you are correct, no threads related to systemd problems, but
in others you don't know for sure
I have just tried: the zoom level was properly restored here.
I am talking about the manual partitioning in Trisquel's graphical installer,
yes. I believe it detected by itself the type of the filesystem, XFS, that I
wanted mounted at /home. The installer needs that piece of information to
write /etc/fstab.
However, it was quite some time ago

$ cat /etc/X11/default-display-manager

Assuming you did manual partitioning, did you have to select the partition

I've just installed Trisquel 8, Abrowser won't save zoom level for each page,
it discards them once the web page is closed, for example, I open Wikipedia,
I zoom in 150%, I close then reopen a new Wikipedia tab, I find my zoom level
reseted to default (100%).

Thanks for the reply.
When I try to "sudo apt-get install openjdk-8-jre" it fails to get the needed
packages. It says that failed to get the packages. I am using

I can install most stuff fine from repos. But not this.
Thanks
Apparently I don't have systemsettings5 installed. Also, I would not change
the login manager to get this effect, I just thought it was possible to
obtain it by changing some simple configuration. Thanks anyway.
How can I know which login manager I have installed and running right
Amazing!
Thanks for share it with us ^_^
I've solved the problem. I've changed the mirrors to
https://mirror.fsf.org/trisquel/
thanks!
That mirror is down. Switch to a different one. See:
https://trisquel.info/en/forum/weird-output-when-trying-update
This seems to be affecting a lot of people. Can we expect this mirror to go
back up? If not, is there a fix other than telling users one-at-a-time how to
switch to a different

Same here, whether I use NoScript or disable JS globally.

Looks cool, never heard of this one before. Will certainly give this a go
for Local DE Virtualisation. It may not be suitable for a headless instance,
managed remotely via SSH or other. Headless qemu-kvm sounds
I enabled everything in uMatrix EXCEPT "Script". Still a YouTube bar
