you should return to trisquel too, I think i will as well.
you should return to trisquel too. we all should.
I missed his post the first time too. So looks like trisquel is alive and
well.
yes getting all the forum posters here to use it is the first step haha.
I can't even convince fsf ones :(
if thats the case you might have to switch to chromium or firefox. rest of
the system should get security patches till 2019 I would think.
what do you mean no security updates? It just gets them a day late, its
good till 2019. I used to just wait a day to use trisquel if it was serious
then update the next day.
Go to https://www.ubuntu.com/usn/ and then compare your version of the
file.or apt log if it applies to
Supertramp/lloydsmart: thank you both so much for pointing out Mailinabox. I
migrated my personal domain to it a month ago. My Mailinabox server scores
10/10 at mail-tester.com and received an "A+" security evaluation from a scan
by Qualys SSL Labs. I couldn't be happier with it.
> Why do they not make an abrowser trisquel debian package?
Because it's not the Trisquel maintainers' job to make and maintain a package
for Debian. If you want an Abrowser package in Debian, no one is stopping you
from making and maintaining one.
tonlee, as Magique said, first of all make sure it is free software, then all
you can do is you trust only well known and trustworthy developers. Don't
install things you don't need, this should be the "philosophy" of it, I
think.
So, right now, when I'm at the main screen in GRUB I enter "c" to go to the
command-line. Type "unset superusers" press enter, ESC out, press enter, now
I'm at the screen where I can either select Trisquel GNU Linux or Advanced
options. At this point I press "e" instead of the username and
Thanks for the link. It looks like if I wanna use D, I have to deal with js.
LOL about that ps and pic. :)Comment
Yes. I have been suspecting addons to do what is described in the broadcast.
It is much like many apps on android and ios. If some addons are not malware,
I would know how to verify?
I disliked how the firefox gui got modified. I do not know if firefox can get
configured to the previous gui. That is why I installed the restore theme
addon. An addon that I do not trust and would prefer not to use.
Same about the addons zoom button and manually sort folders on thunderbird.
Thanks.
If it is a trisquel browser, do they not want people to install abrowser on
other distributions? Why do they not make an abrowser trisquel debian
package? Who at trisquel should I ask?
I can't get Privacy Badger to load in IceCat.
Today downloaded CIH & Morris worm & flashrom.
About Free PC Project: I downloaded Libreboot but I don't know how to port
it.
this was in reply to stas

warrior, aye? hehheheh you. :D Yea maybe I reacted over the top, but I want
you to know I appreciate your honesty.
When I had winblows, I saw the hosts file, but haven't seen that anyplace
else.
I may have to go back to IceCat because their fonts are better for me. A few
days ago I
[Please ignore this topic.]
Oh ok. Thanks. I've been reading a few threads here about security, it seems
among the regulars who offer advice, you have answered many of them. I really
appreciate your advice.
If I get it through Synaptic, I hope I'll get the latest version. When I had
it, I don't remember what version
As you so eloquently put it, "Ill have to disagree with the incredibleness,
deficient and eloquent users."
Well then please explain to us poor deficient users HOW to access and change
those settings. What about modems? I know if I knew how to do it, I would.
The router I used to have had
>I saw a message from SuperTramp about hexchat being better than pidgin for
better security and less bloatware. Though I like Pidgin, if it's not very
secure, I'll stay away from it.
Pidgin has had its fair share of security vulnerabilities. Apparently the
libpurple is not considered very
I allow just: diaspora, gnusocial and mediagoblin. I rarely visit gnusocial
though.
>In another thread I saw you say HexChat is more secure than Pidgin, and less
bloated
Well, if we are talking about IRC alone, sure, hexchat is a way less bloated
option and also a more secure one. If Pidgin just make sure it is the latest
version.
Thanks is indeed a good point. Some times one tend to forget that the man
pages are there for a reason. Many thanks. All the best for you and all the
forum.
My battery is broken.
