I think Conan did absolutely the right thing. I think it would be cool
to see him in another venue or arena, even a weekly (but
non-political) series on HBO (perhaps following Real Time?). He'll
leave with dignity, and he is right that the blame for this mess does
not rest on his shoulders.
It wouldn't surprise me if it's someday divulged that Conan and Dave
had a private conversation, whereby Dave offered Conan the same advice
