Does the John Williams theme for the 1984 Olympics count? They still use it from time to time for modern olympiads. If it counts, that is my favorite. Also, as part of its Wide World of Sports coverage of Tour de France, ABC commissioned a lot of music over the years (some of it by John Tesh!)
