I suspect that there's no right answer to this. On the one hand, I might very well choose not to spend money on seeing him, but it's probably pretty usual to go to small comedy clubs without knowing exactly who's going to be playing. As a consumer, all I can really do is vote with my feet. If I do

I also liked it. A bit rough around the edges but nothing that wouldn't be expected for the first time out. She had an interesting perspective and I would have continued watching to see where it went. Netflix has had a relatively hard time dealing with current events programming (Wolf, Handler, Mc

One issue the big streaming sites need to deal with in the near future is they don’t share their ratings... not even with series producers. So nobody knows who is watching, or what an acceptable/profitable audience size is. If you can’t give goals to showrunners, how can they be expected to meet th

I think I heard somewhere that McHale's show was doing better than it had been on E! but that clearly wasn't enough (and I must admit that those last 6 episodes felt like he was just phoning it in). I'm just not sure that Netflix is suitable vehicle for really topical programming. I know there have

The official word seems that Chelsea opted not to do a third season.  I find it plausible that given her big deal with Netflix (specials, documentary show and talk show), she may have been given the option to end the show rather than be cancelled. https://deadline.com/2017/10/chelsea-handler-n

It is the concept that the venues are in the middle that feels like a conceit to me. It implies a middle ground exists between those who were sexually harassed and “fans” of the guy who did the harassing. That’s not a middle ground, it is a cop-out. I would put forward the notion that any comedy c

I found the writing on McHale's show to be pretty cheap but sometimes satisfyingly out there. It was basically The Soup 1.5 I liked it, but it took me a while to find time to watch the second half. In a way, it reminded me of "With Bob and David" which also tried to bring back an old show by doi
