There is not. There is actually not even a method to get the count the number of tweets for a single search term. You would have to pull as many of the search results as you can and manually count them yourself. Sounds like it would be a lot of work to get all the results you want though. Abraham

This is an annoying inconsistency with the Twitter API. If you do an authenticated call to view a user's friends/followers, and that user is either blocking the authenticated user or is private, you will not be able to view their friends/followers. You will get not authorized error. However,
