I have realurl which is working with multidomain typo3 installation
out_off_the box. I am using the auto creation of realurl configuration
file but the *only* issue which makes me unhappy is the .html part is
not appended to the page name.

found the realurl code already has it.
findRootPageId does exactly what I thought of doing and even more.
Dmitry, why that feature is not being documented?

We still get this encoding error message.
I tried now one thing
The site was 4.3.alpha2
I downgraded to 4.2.3 the site showed the same error but nomore the login
session timeout error
so I used alt_main.php instead of backend.p
Just discovered, that all sublinks and modules in UserTools and Admin Tools
and Help are working but none in WEB or in FILE when I call the site with
alt_main.php in Chrome or FF.
Calling the site with backend.php after the site loaded with alt_main.php
results again in the encoding Fatal error
