Hi newsgroup,
with 6.2 LTS the extension manager doesn't show any information about
if an installed extension is still in its original state or if it has
been modified. In 4.5 LTS we've had this feature...
Why has this feature been removed? Or is it still available in any
other place?

I've tried to install Typo3 for the first time.
I've downloaded, and unpacked the files, and I've tranfered it to my local
server.
But when I'm trying to install, I have this message :
Calculated absolute path to tslib directory does not exist
I don't know what to do now, if someone can help.

I've seen some occasional glitches on an NFS system with TYPO3 4.7.
The entire file base (typo3conf, fileadmin,uploads,typo3temp,TYPO3
source) is on NFS. MySQL is situated on a separate server.
Problems happen during deployments of new code bases.
Typo3temp needs to be cleared and occasionall
Hi Olivier and Nicola,
The OS is Redhat and I admit I don't know which NFS version (I can't access all
systems myself). PHP is 5.3.14.
We've been using TYPO3 4.5 and 4.6. With 4.6 we experienced many problems with
the locking files. Locking method 'simple' was terrible, 'flock' reasonable but
Hi Jacco,
For the RTE tab to be available in user settings, extension "setup" must
be installed BEFORE extension "rtehtmlarea".
So, the default order of installation of system extensions should have
setup before rtehtmlarea.
Also, we are missing some options to specify the relative order in
Hi,
the simple solution is to use
baseURL = http://my-domain/
instead of
absRefPrefix = /
Thanks to Marc Hirdes for this hint.

Hi Loek,
in my experience I never encountered TYPO3 related issues with NFS using
this kind of configuration since TYPO3 4.3.x to TYPO3 6.1.x.
The only case that shows up to my memory is a "forgotten active"
deprecation log that was writing too much, but nothing else.
Happy to give more details ju

Is TYPO3 supposed to work fine on NFS? What are the experiences? Do you

Hi all,
I'm maintaining a large site that is using a networked NFS filesystem. I had
several issues with this, due to some bugs in PHP (PHP sometimes reports FALSE
on file-operations, eventhough the operation succeeds). Also locking of
file-operations appears to be buggy on NFS.

Hi Jigal,
Thank you for reminding me of that, I recently checked the 4.5 documentation for
that 4.5 site and forgot that the minifiers had been built-in later on.
