Barry Sounds fine but make sure the file is set up correctly also. A reasonably large number of items in the WWSTATE file is sometimes OK and file sizing is important. What were the ANALYZE.FILE results. Cheers Trevor Ockenden Open Systems Professionals - Original Message - From

Tricky! - I've been caught out like this before. You are extracting SEARCH.VALUE from DESC.LIST as an attribute. Try extracting values instead and I suspect all will be fine. SEARCH.VALUE = DESC.LIST1,PLC Cheers Trevor Ockenden Open Systems Professionals - Original Message - From

Joe Have you sized your UV file correctly? The 15-20 seconds suggests many things are not as they should be. Can you do an ANALYZE.FILE on this file and post the details. If it is a dynamic hashed file include the option STATS please. We may be able to help you after all. Cheers Trevor

this machine correctly as 15-20 second search times seems excessive to me. However, it is up to you whether or not you provide the ANALYZE.FILE results or not but it may help other list members if we were to pursue it.
