other possibility is thunderbird with owlforexchange.
owlforexchange is a payed app.
It sounds like evolution would let me download mail from
my inbox at the university and then I could use another email
client to read it and fold it in to the unix world that I really
like.

Interesting. I haven't noticed any crashing within the past month. I
only notice the issue I reported, which has been pretty much the same
for more than 10 years actually. It definitely did crash some time back,
but that seems to have been fixed recently.

Evolution has ben accessible until Gnome3. Since this time, for some
reason not related to orca but the evolution ot this program in the GTK3

Mattias,
Are you saying that the error is on the ORCA's support for Evolution,

Evolution isn't completely unusable, but it focuses you on the message
headers. Getting to the message body is possible, but it requires
playing with the tab key a bit. It can be hit or miss. I filed a bug
against Evolution, but this appears to be a problem with webkit and the

Hi,
My Evolution mail package updated from the proposed updates. I did some
brief experimentation, and found that neither the message list, nor the
message view pane is accessible, using Orca screen reader. There seems
to be no cursor on which Orca can focus. Toggling the 'f7' ke
OK, perhaps Evolution has a setting to display all emails as plain text?
As for Thunderbird you need to get it from the mozilla ftp site because
you need the beta version of Thunderbird 3 for the accessibility to be
there.

Hi,
I use thunderbird 3.0. It is a beta version but works quite well with orca.

hello there, all,
Thanks for the advice on getting Ubuntu going on my dinosaur PC. The
alternate install did turn out to have accessibiity features, and I'm
probably going to switch my OSes around as soon as I get up the gumption
to do all the backing up of my other hard drive necessary to
agement in Evolution.
Can anyone confirm this? Orca completely hangs, so I'm not sure how to go
about testing this effectively.
