Sorry. I'm new to Ubuntu, so I'm learning. Not sure what a crash
dump is or where to find it. This is the first and only time Firefox
has crashed since I installed Ubuntu about 6 month ago. I have it on
one computer and Linspire/Linux on another, so the learning curve is
different.

that appeared on screen didn't really have anything to do with the
ath_pci driver (I had to scroll up to see that). Maybe this is really

The odd thing for me is that it does work... sometimes.
I'll log in to find the scrolling not working, but then after a while of normal
usage, I'll suddenly note that the scrolling has started working. It seems
really random to me.
The CoastingSpeedThreshold misspelling has been fixed, but I
(no 'edit' or 'append' function) Oh, and I also forgot this: somewhere
along the line I manually put the relevant circularscrolling options directly
into xorg.conf. (I used synclient directly to get the rightedge just perfect):

I highly doubt that this is the same problem. It might be best to file
a separate bug for the madwifi issue, because I also noticed that a live
CD built on 2006-01-31 kernel panicked when loading the ath_pci module.

this last week of january feisty started doing this to me - when i press
power button it just shuts down rather than showing me options. i
obviously has ask set. feisty was working fine in this respect - asking
me what to do - just one week ago.

Yes I run Sun 5.0, but I found now that that there are other Javas also
installed - as it seems automatically. Will try to clean that up to have
only that SUN 5.0 installed. Hope that helps and not breaks other
applications. Using a Alpha version is amazing but interesting.

what's the state of this beagle backport?
the version shipping with edgy has a bug that makes my cpu run @ 100% when the
system becomes idle.
