Quash: so the new package fixes it for you? Did you try it with the bios speed set to 8x, dri enabled, and no Option "AGPMode" "8" in xorg.conf? (which would have gaurnteed a freeze before, right) Just curious because my preliminary test of the new package didn't fix it, but of course it could have just been my error. Thanks. Eric
