If you are upgrading, you need to remove your ~/.glipper directory.
After I did this, glipper ran fine. Glipper is now a gnome panel applet
(hence no binary in /usr/bin). It doesn't have a separate launcher
anymore, so you need to use Add to panel . Cheers.

Uh, after a few reboots, it seems that I have to manually retype the passphrase
on the network-admin dialog, because it gets changed to a very long string.
Once I retype it and close the properties dialog of the wireless adapter, the
internet connection starts working again.
