This actually now looks like an nvidia driver issue. I installed
oneiric, and plugged in a secondary monitor to the display port. I was
amazed that it was actually working successfully. I then installed the
proprietary nvidia graphics driver through jockey, rebooted and tried
again. The secondary

seeing this in both Unity and Unity 2d. The regression seems to have
occured on my other machine after the update to Thunderbird 14 as others

5101. The OS is used to freeze at random times almost everyday, so I
followed suggestions in another bug report and manually updated the
kernel to 3.4.0. Now it freezes when I adjust the brightness setting
with the keyboard

This issue is still happening in 12.04. It is slightly worse than just
hitting cancel and the world is ok again. Yes the burn is successful
but hitting cancel and ejecting manually does not finish the brasero
process for me. Then on my next burn nothing happens. Brasero just
plain does not

I'm normally using a USB C-Media sound card with a head set as audio
in/out and built-in sound card for ringing voices. It's not possible to
choose the separate output device for ringing any more. If you choose
the device in Pulseaudio Volume Control - Playback for Audio Out,
Sure thing. Transfers still very slow in Lucid, although interestingly
Nautilus reports it slightly differently - I get a really fast progress
bar all the way, which stalls at 100% for the remaining time.. I had a
stopwatch going, so I know the transfers were taking the same time as in
Precise.

* The python build-dep and dependencies seem like they can be switched to
python3? tools/account-console would need to be ported, but that looks like a

090c:1000 file transfers to/from
While I would tend to agree, I would say that default settings (e.g.
100% memory) is for the default/majority of systems. If memory on the
machine is 100's of GB or even TBs, custom partman recipes should be
used to tune the machine.

Swap space allocation for large memory systems needs
This has happened to me several times but it might not be a problem with
Ubuntu. I have a Thinkpad Edge 14 and I dual boot both Ubuntu and
Windows 7. Whenever this happens the Fn keys stop working in both
Windows and Ubuntu which indicates that it's a BIOS/hardware issue. I
