I am problems with the Fortclient SSL VPN client I need for work.
systemd-resolved overwrites the DNS entries set by the VPN client. The
connection is set up with Network-Manager. This worked fine in 16.04 and
works on Arch with the same VPN client. I do not know if this is exactly
the problem
I downloaded directly from Mozilla.org (link in #8) and ran it. No
crash, so this is the Ubuntu package being broken. At least I can get
work done now.

What recent update solved the problem? I have a fully updated 16.10
install and Thunderbird crashes constantly after 1-2 minutes. It's my
work e-mail so this is bad.

I've also upgraded to 16.10 and see the same issues. There's also other
networking issues on my laptops that wasn't present in 15.10. Seems that
Wi-Fi and networking was fundamentally broken in 16.04 and now carries
over to 16.10

Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Carbon 1st Gen, but not with the X1 Carbon 2nd and
3rd Gen. I have all three and they are all running Ubunity 16.04 x64. So
maybe this depends on the version of the wi-fi hardware? All these
laptops have Intel

work normally when I came home last night and went on my home network. I
won't really know if this is fixed until next week when I start moving
between networks with my laptop suspended in between.

Forget my previous comment. It happened again as I got home from work.
No wifi networks available. Then I get the wired icon in the
notification area and I am connected but no networks show up and there's
no way I can get back to normal without a reboot. Ugh.

I also see the same problem coming out of suspend. Manually restarting
network-manager with 'sudo systemctl restart network-manager.service' is
a workaround but not a solution. I go in and out of suspend a lot with
my laptop so this one is very annoying.

to be able to control the volume above 100% without having to open the

am not able to turn it on again. It just pops back to off. The only way
for me to get it enabled again is first run: sudo rfkill list all, find

I can confirm that the memory leak is still appearant in a fresh Ubuntu
12.04 install. A restart brings it back to normal for a while, but then
