Oh my Acer Aspire ONE is using an Intel sound chip. I have a desktop running Jaunty that the sound works fine on it. It is not an Intel system. It is an AMD CPU, on an ASUS MoBo. I do not know what the sound chip is on it. I hope that this helps someone so that they cn HELP ME. -- [Jaunty]

Leann: One squashed bug! In Synaptic, I marked the kernel 2.6.27.11 for re-installation and then clicked Apply. I then re-booted my computer and it booted into 2.6.27.11 just as it should without any incident. Thanks for the suggestion, it was right-on as a a solution to fix my computer.
