strings that have not been changed at all do not show up translated,

rollout, which caused the Ubuntu imports to be disabled, which in turn
caused the new template of update-manager to be put on hold. If this is

There is no translation template available for indicator-applet. This
application is in main and AFAIK it is installed by default, so this is
a glaring omission.

All settings in Preferences - Pop-up notifications are disregarded by
notify-osd. I think this menu item should be either made to work or
removed from the Preferences menu.

To make it work again, I had to install the package attached in the
comments and edit my 11-x11-synaptics.fdi to look like this:
