I have a Sony Vaio laptop with an rt3090 wifi adapter built-in.
It does not work in Precise Pangolin Beta.
In older versions of Ubuntu, I was able to use a PPA which repackaged the
manufacturer's drivers.
To get it to work, I also had to blacklist a series of drivers in
Boleslaw,
I just use likewise-open and register the machine on the domain with the
domain-joining gui that comes with that.
Then I edit sudoers to add a line for Domain^Users and that's about it.
likewise-open creates a local home folder for the user, I believe, on
first login.

If I run the Monitors control center app, it does not detect my dual monitors
and lists just a single unknown monitor.
With the proprietary fglrx driver, both the Benq and Samsung monitors are
detected.
Using Unity in Oneiric with all the latest updates applied.
