Hi Oumar, looks there is one more problem, that of crashing when the
number of redirects exceeds MAX_REDIR = 5. So the above patch is not
for the redirects problem (which was originally reported in this bug),
but for the 'Can't do CWD' problem that I encountered when I was
reproducing this bug.

Hi Oumar,
The patch doesn't just prevent a SIGSEGV. It solves the problem of axel
not being able to handle a FTP CWD to a non-existent directory.
Even wget can't get the file because the directory doesn't exist.
$ wget
is, maar in
werkelijkheid naar de hele lijst.
En stel dat die daarna moord en brand gaat schreeuwen.
Daarover had ik het.
Tja, de vraag is: hoe vaak gebeurt zo iets?

Thanks for the info.
I would like to ask another favour. I have another bug report (158169).
In that one to I left package open, as I was not sure. But further
observation convinced me that the bug is in Emacs.

Yup, this bug was reported against dapper. I don't have the time to play
anymore games with this. If the ubuntu developers don't care about the
quality of their work than neither do I. Dapper-deleted!
