I modified /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base as you wrote, and tried 1., but nothing
changed. Then I tried 2., but still there is no difference.
Maybe I should try with kernel 2.6.22? Or, can make a difference, that I use
Kubuntu?

It seems, that this isn't fixed in Gutsy Beta. I tried it with a Fujitsu
Siemens Amilo Pi1505, and it has absolutely the same problem that had with
Feisty.
Would be good to fix this for the final 7.10.

I installed the openoffice.org package (and its dependencies) and seems that
this solved the problem.
(I think, that this is not default because it depends on openoffice.org-base,
which is not used frequently.)

I also have a dpendency problem.
dpkg says this:
kdm depends on kdebase-bin (= 4:3.5.6-0ubuntu20usplash1); however:
Version of kdebase-bin on system is 4:3.5.6-0ubuntu20.1.

I also have a very similar problem. The problem exists in a Fujitsu-
Siemens Amilo Pi1505 notebook, with Feisty, and also in a computer with
Edgy and Feisty.
If I log out, and choose Shutdown from the kdm menu, it works well, but
if I try to shutdown from KDE (Log out... -- Turn off), the
: initscript clvm, action start failed.
dpkg: error while cleaning up:
subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 3
Errors were encountered while processing:
clvm
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)
The system logs don't help me:

To maximize a window, i just do a double clic at the window titlebar. If

Open firefox, resize and move the widow to get a small, centered window.
Then make a dbl clic in the title bar to maximize it. After that, can
