Sorry, I was too quick with my original bug report. Testing over night
has shown that while kernel versions 2.6.39, 3.0 and 3.1 showed no
dropped packets, the connection was still unstable. I have rewritten the

I upgraded a router from Natty to Precise. This router has 2 real network
cards (Intel Realtek based) and 2 USB-Ethernet adapters (Level1 USB-0201)
that are using the asix driver.
After
I use the workaround presented in posting #8 successfully in Ubuntu
10.04 and 10.10. So it's not without effect. I can't comment on why it
doesn't work in your situation though. Maybe you forgot to change the
connection names from ppp1 and ppp2 to whatever you use.
