I'm sure someone has thought of this already, but I had this bug too and
I edited the swap entry in my fstab to point to /dev/sda6 instead of
it's UUID. Now 'free' shows the correct amount of swap. It's not
exactly a fix, but it is a temporary work around until the bug is worked
out.

James, well the problem here is like the PS/2 bug -- the Ubuntu packaged
kernel was never patched. I agree regressions like this are
unacceptable given that upstream has confirmed and fixed the issue --
before Ubuntu Feisty was even in the beta test window.

cd. This is on the free-as-in-beer Microsoft VirtualPC 2007, which uses the

wireless will be working after waking from suspend, but no activity

7.04 cds today, and imagine my suprise when I popped it in the drive and

An easy but probably not perfect solution to this problem I read about
in the forums...
In your home directory, run this command:
mv .mozilla/plugins .mozilla/junk_plugins
That will effectively delete the flashplayer.xpt libflashplayer.so
stored in that directory, which seem to be the problem.
I have i386 with NVIDIA card. This happens to me when I boot (but not
every time) and it just happened once when I logged out to switch users
and the login screen tried to reload. The screen just goes blank and
the num lock and caps lock lights start blinking. The only thing I can
do to get out
