I can confirm this bug on my Samsung X20. Resuming from suspend-to-ram works the
first time, while the second time X comes up but freezes completely after
approx. 20s.

restart the XGL server.

The workaround to run scanbuttond did not help at the first try -- the scanner
lamp starts to flash. This shows me that the poll interval was still too long.
So I tried to poll the scanner faster.

unfortunately I have no way to know the BIOS's idea of my CPU's
temperature because my laptop's BIOS setup does not display this
information. However, it's very unlikely that this is a BIOS bug because
neither 2.6.17-ubuntu nor 2.6.21-vanilla (which I'm using at the moment)

on a VIA mainboard I found that using acpi=force irqpoll corrects a lot
of problems; btw the Mesa driver is not maintained and there's no kernel

I recently went back to Dapper from Edgy to stay compatiable with my
large project's OS.
Now, my monitor never sleeps. gnome-screensaver kicks in after about 10
minutes, but after 30 minutes, gnome-power-manger fails to sleep the
display (Even though that is the time chosen in the Power
I can reproduce this. I see the exact same behavior on my Dapper
install.

I've uninstalled ClamTk and installed klamav in its place.
Unfortunately, I can't find a Gnome menu item for klamav.
Shouldn't one of these have been set up by Synaptic?
