Same happens when changing authentication type e.g. from WEP to WPA
(like I just did with my router). It didn't remember the new settings (I

I don't have skills/time to have a look into e2fsprog, but I know that
this computer worked perfectly for nearly one year, and then, it has

I can confirm that. I had hibernated the computer last night and it
appeared this morning.
However, i have found a solution for it on my computer.
When it comes up, all i have to do is goto terminal and type 'sudo modprobe
ndiswrapper' and the error disappears.

My initial report was for Feisty. Since my report I haven't used the
xemacs-gnome-nomule package (I used the xemacs-mule package which didn't
have this problem). I just installed the gnome-nomule package and
checked it in both my computers running Feisty, and everything seems to

Interestung, when I remove those options it doesn't even get to the progress
bar, it just freezes immediately. In neither case is there any error
message. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Even easier is to get the previous compiled version from Edgy.I just
downloaded the deb and extracted the two files from data.tar.gz/usr/lib
/alsa-lib/ and put them in /usr/lib/alsa-lib/ - works like a charm!

instead of writing a custom python solution, why isn't apt-spy utilized?
I have found the python implementation to be somewhat slow and less than
ideal. Does anyone else agree?
