Hi, I also get a similar crash, and I can reproduce it consistently by
opening up the program, checking my email (it's on an IMAP server),

This is probably the same issue as Bug #115952. I'll sync the xubuntu gdm
conffile with the ubuntu one, it should fix the issue.

I have Ubuntu, PGADMIN3 installed in my system.
when i select some text in any editable area using mouse and drag it, system
gets hanged.
the mouse cursor turns to a PLUS kind of symbol. Some times the key board
shortcut (Alt + F4) will work for closing the pgadmin3 but
my system is up to date but bug is still here ... perhaps it is due to resume
state of my laptop.
This issue occured after i restarted my laptop which was in hibernate state and
restart the X server.
