Ok, ok, I have solved my problem. In Ubunut 7.10 the default GUI-backend for
matplotlib was TKagg, in 8.04 it is GTKagg,
which needs a special python shell to work correctly in interactive mode.
So I switched back to TKagg and everything works in the right manner.

Hi again,
I was using totem-gstreamer. I just installed totem-xine and gave that a try
and I have skipping in that app too. Interestingly enough, I was watching
the graphs in System Monitor, and every time the music skips, the scrolling
in System Monitor stops, consistently with the music. The
I don't know if this is related, but now I'm running Hardy with compiz and
emerald turned off, and the desktop is still behaving sluggishly.
Before, I was running the Hardy RC (updated with every update available), and
yesterday I did a clean install of Hardy 8.04 final.

Is this suposed to be solved?
I installed Ubuntu from the alternate cd and I am getting this problem.
Nova-t-500 working randomly and dmesg showing a lot of I2C read failed.
My kernel is 2.6.22-14-generic (the one that got installed wiht the cd).
Any solution wellcome as this is making my mythtv

Please fix this bug. It makes Kubuntu appear very unprofessional and

I realize the manifestation of this bug is not mounting NAS shares. The PAM
errors in the system logs I have are identical to those in this bug and the dup
of this bug. Therefor I believe it is the same bug albeit a different action
that caused the PAM Auth error. I did not send
