I use Compiz Fusion on my Hardy. I wasn't able to see if special Video's
changed the colors. It seems to happen at random to me, when I start a video.
Changing from auto to opengl in gxine works for me as well.
My System: Intel Core 2 Duo 2x 2,2 GHz, Nvidia GeForce 8600 GT with
the evolution 2.22.1.1 fix this issue. thanks

I got the same problem in kubuntu gutsy after some updates I guess. dbus
does not start automatically and therefore I do not have network manager
running and no network available. I have to start dbus manually then run
dhcp client to get connected. Does any one know how to fix that ?

I made mistake: I have Xubuntu 8.04 (Hardy) not 8.10 :)
I tried to update AbiWord to latest version (2.6.3) hoping it will fix
this problem. I followed http://abisource.com/wiki/Install_on_Ubuntu,
installed new abiword and abiword-plugin packages. It still doesn't
work. Only difference is that now

I have this same exact problem with an Icon set I made by combining
icons from Crashbit and NouveXT2.2. I had this same icon set working
fine under Gutsy.

Thanks for your bug report. Actually, Brother packages does not install
very well, the workaround you needed to use only apply to the official
Brother printer drivers from their website, you should not need to
create that folder if you use the brother packages available in ubuntu

I found that /etc/initramfs-tools/conf.d/resume file have an incorrect UUID, I

database, but it is crashing during the syncrepl phase.
Using slapd 2.4.7-6ubuntu4.1 from Ubuntu Hardy in a x86 system.

I'm trying to get my Brother MFC-685CW printer working in hardy as a
network printer.
When I go to setup the printer, it detects the IP address etc but the
model does not appear in the list of printers.

I am going to mark this as fixed released as the wording to the warning
message has changed to let the user know they don't have the rights
necessary to do what it is they are trying to do. If you feel this is
still an issue in any of the latest releases, I urge you to reopen this
report.
Please ignore my previous comment for now, I think I may know what the

I still experience this bug on Hardy, I get the "VirtualBox kernel
driver not installed" error.
Following the error message's suggestion, "Please install the
virtualbox-ose-modules package for your kernel, e.g. virtualbox-ose-
modules-generic.", I installed that package, but no improvement. I trie
Saivann: I'm so sorry that these days, I was too busy to upgrade the
whole system to Hardy. Maybe we could just leave it now, as it seems to
happen quite rarely now.

Me again. After researching upstream it has come to my attention that
this issue has since been fixed. I have double checked our code base and
it corresponds to the changes in the KDE SVN. I am going to go ahead and
mark this as "Fix Released" however if you feel that it isn't fixed,
