I did more checking. It seems like any page with a Java applet crashes.
This did kind of work for some sites a few weeks ago. The gcj version
of the java plugin is being used. I see there are other bugs about java

I have some videos recorded on a Samsung Glyde phone in the 3GPP2 format
(.3g2). Nautilus shows these as unknown files - it seems they should be
treated as video files (previews should be made, and double-clicking
should start the video in totem).
I was using "Dell" as keyboard model (the machine is a Dell inspiron 1420).
Now that I've switched to "Evdev-managed keyboard" to work around another bug,
the problem seems to have disappeared.

Thanks for the updates, but unless you are able to do it in the GUI it's
a bug, as the GUI is entitled to enable you add or remove users. We need
someone else to confirm the same bug on Kubuntu 8.04 :)

I can verify that fail2ban still doesn't start properly.
/var/run/fail2ban is not being created on startup so fail2ban will not
