Retesting, installing ubuntu-minimal was insufficient to launch usb-
creator. After installing ubuntu-desktop, usb-creator launched
correctly. As a result, I'm certain this is caused by a missing
dependency (although I've no idea which).

I have a level one wpc-301 v4 that is affected by rt61pci lockup issue
in hardy using 2.6.24-19-generic and version 2.0.10 of the rt61pci
module. I slapped on linux-backports-modules which seemed to resolve the
issue with the hard lockups, but activity light on
gus,
it seems that the problem disappeared, without changing the file, maybe
a gnome 2.24 update solve the problem...

The common dependency of both sybase mad mssql Vendor Specific Database
Extensions on FreetTDS libs might be advantageous for the package developer or
maintainer, but it has disadvantages for the library users:

I just noticed that this only hapens for JPEG files, but not RAW (NEF)
files.
I take photos in JPEG+RAW, so there are two copies of the photo. The
thumbs for the NEFs have correct orientations, and the JPEG thumbs seem
to not have the orientation tag applied to them.

Am running 8.04 but it's been present for many versions now.
I agree it could be a video issue, I don't have the time to confirm if

In the attached screenshot there are 4 files - JPEG and RAW/NEF versions
of two photos.
The RAW ones are oriented correctly and the JPEG are not.
One of the JPEGs is opened in EOG, and is oriented correctly.
I would expect all the images to be oriented similar to the RAW/NEF and
as they display

Can you post the results of running the command
netstat -nlp | grep vino
Both with and without the 'Only allow local connections' set. This
option works for me on my machine and I get the following:
Local only:
tcp6 0 0 ::1:5900:::*LISTEN
Indeed there is no such message printed although one could easily say
the same about other bzr plugins. If there is no svn support for bzr
installed, should attempting to use svn-specific features report a
similar message?
