Nope, still an issue for me. On a T500 2805-52G (this is a machine I'm
setting up for a customer), the system freezes on return from suspend or
hibernate, just after showing the black screen and mouse pointer.
Sometimes, on first suspend after boot, the system will resume correctly
but will fail

In Kubuntu 8.10, it is possible to enable Wi-Fi without NDISwrapper too:
1. Kickoff menu → Search: → jockey-kde → Support for 802.11 wireless LAN
cards. → Disable → Close.
2. Kickoff menu → Search: → konsole
3. sudo aptitude install linux-backports-modules-intrepid-generic
4. Restart

ok... all this workarounds and install I've seen so far tells me that I
would have to rebuilt the driver from source... which avoiding that is
the reason I am using ubuntu (I used to have fedora)... I love when plug

what surprises me, is that my webcam (genius eye 110) works

You only saw the header of the rom binary. It's binary code so you can't read
it in a text editor. The header just happened to have ASCII text though. Not
sure what the maintainer will do with it but, they are asking for it for debug

It happens to me, too. Frequent requests for keys for known network not
in range or simply dropped. If added to the fact that even if I connect
a wired network NM continues to scan and try to connect to the wireless

to create the directory in /var/run/ if it does not exist, and
then remove anything to do with /var/run from the postinst.

Vinagre grabs too many keyboard shortcuts, making difficult to operate remote
For, well the first time ever a graphical problem I've had _isn't_
fglrx's fault. Disabling it does nothing to solve the problem. Here's
how I reproduced (This is a VERY stock installation), I haven't messed
with any of the core system defaults except the installation of fglrx.
1. Login
2. Change
I can confirm that there is something wrong with the edit dialog.
For instance, if I edit an event that was created on 18th Nov 2008, the edit
dialog shows some other date with a (random but instance-constant) offset but
with the correct formatting.
I don't know how to reproduce this but the

A few more new results: I was running Firefox 3.0.0.4, but not yet
logged on when I started up Konqueror and successfully logged on. I
then logged on within the Firefox browser and wrote my comments above.
Afterward I wondered, if the success by Konqueror changed anything. Yes
it had, however,
