I am having the same problem with Ubuntu Hardy and Ubuntu Intrepid

I'm confirming that V10 Logitech speakers don't work with Ubuntu 8.04 on my
laptop. Here's my alsa configuration

Ignore my previous comment...This bug was a hardy bug. In Intrepid, MPD
seg faults and I cannot test the album art feature. Sorry for the
confusion.
