I've installed Ekiga 3.2.6~ppa~jaunty1 from your PPA as requested and
re-tested. There's still no indication anywhere of voice mail. I'm
still not sure where I should see it in the 3.2 code stream but it's not
on the status bar (next to the signal strength indicator), in the call
I am using a Thinkpad X61T. There is a delay between the stylus movement
and the line drawn with Xournal for example. It makes it difficult to
draw something decently too.

with macosx 10.6.
I am observing a strange pattern.
First I resized macosx 10.6 partition to leave space for ubuntu.
Then rebooted and installed rEFIT.

9.10 RC and have not changed any settings. But sound is now working
properly.
I did install a number of packages from the ubuntu/medibuntu repos but
nothing that affected sound (eclipse, vim, meld, skype, etc.).

I can confirm this bug appearing on an i386 karmic install upgraded from
jaunty.
On my system, editing /etc/init/runsvdir.conf so that

OK I could start alsamixer after I removed the pulseaudio package
(which also means that ubuntu-desktop is removed). Not really a nice

I've been having some issues with Do crashing on me since I upgraded to
Ubuntu 9.10 (beta, now RC) and today I ran Do from a terminal to try to
see what's causing it to crash. I discovered a typo when using the MPD
plugin.

pulseaudio in order to get alsa-mixer running. At least now I could set

I can reproduce that easily on a Lenovo T61 notebook. But I don't think if it
has something to do with the hardware.
This is how to reproduce :
- boot on the liveCD without pluging the computer to the Internet. In a

Had the same issue after I updated to 9.10 and had my first try with UbuntuOne
after setting the timezone (well, put it from Germany/Berlin to a more accurate
Austria/Vienna) and setting up NTP with a near server pool it seems to work...

I would like to second this issue and also add that my Sandisk Sansa-
Clip player worked correctly in 8.10, but was not recognized properly
after upgrading to 9.04. I had to make the .is_audio_player file
manually (found this after searching the web for an hour).
