Another quick'n'dirty fix is to create a symlink in ~/gnome2/music-
applet that points to /usr/share/pyshared/musicapplet/plugins as it
looks there for additional plugins. I wonder why this still hasn't been
fixed as the solution is really only about changing a path in a script.

Deleting ~/.config/autostart/plasma-* does NOT solve the issue. KDE will
automatically switch to the netbook formfactor upon next start, and
reenabling the desktop formfactor will restore the broken files.

10.04 beta1.
With gnome-bluetooth from your ppa everything's no better than before.
With ubuntu 10.04 beta everything works fine.

I am experiencing similar trouble as the OOP (Buffer I/O error on
device) while trying to play DVDs on 9.10 and on 9.04 (different
machines). The region codes of the drive and the disk are identical. On
the same hardware, the disk can be played in Vista (using VLC)
The OOP's syslog mentions
Update: still happening on Lucid kernel (2.6.32-16-generic). Did not
have success with usb-modeswitch so far, will try to see whether the
firmware upgrade makes a difference.

I believe this bug has regressed.
I installed Lucid a few days ago, and my password worked correctly in
Dvorak. (I am one of three users of the system and the only one to use
Dvorak.)
After an update today, even though the keyboard layout selector says
Dvorak, it will not let me log in until I
the bug is fixed now in lucid, gsd will display the indicator when there
is several layout

On the downloads page there is a delay before the music starts
downloading. The current implementation gives the user no indication
that something is happening and because it takes about a minute to start
actually downloading the user can be forgiven for thinking that
something is broken.

@Rookcifer, from your description it's not the same. The error we are talking
here is about cpio failing to build the archive. Yours is about your system
killing random processes. Please file a new report with 'ubuntu-bug linux' and
before doing so, please run a memory test from your start
My working workaround:
