After reviewing the code for the current Lucid and Maverick kernels,

anything but default load applications (on boot). I then synchronously
ran firefox, totem movie player, and home folder app, which were running

This seems to happen again upon resuming from suspend (checked using scp from
my other machine again), until the ath9k module is reloaded. Here's a
workaround: Create a file /etc/pm/config.d/modules, chmod +x it, and have it
