Well, the issue persits with the nvidia driver if it can't find a
configured external screen it garbles display and only removal of
xorg.conf and rebuilding that file seems to help. All xorg files were
generated by the nvidia tools.

So because it's taking the details from xorg.conf it has this problem
even if i remove the 2nd display with the 'Nvidia X Server Settings'
Dialog. But anyways I expect it not to fail if a external screen is not
always present. It's a laptop. That's quite normal to not always have a
dual screen setu

Your comments about using HDMI default are more to do with pulse for it
to remember default sinks and sources and remembering preferred routing
for applications. i.e. a voip app to always use your usb headset while
rhythmbox to use your output board card which is hooked up to your
speakers etc.

The patchset from Marvell included a debugging printk that should be
removed prior to release. THis printk spams syslog with
"[151184.452453] rt_may_expire:" messages.

i am closing this bug for two reasons:
a) having compcache enabled isnt actually a bad thing, it raises the amount of
usable ram with no known drawbacks (and i dont know what you refer to regarding
a "poor experience")
b) on normal installs casper is not installed, during installation casper (an

the md5 signatures look correct. I added a README.md5 file in that directory
for future checks.
The "dbg" files only contains debugging symbols. They are handy for using gdb
on hylafax executables.
