I can't confirm this. I'm on Ubuntu 11.10 oneiric with squid
2.7.STABLE9-4ubuntu4 and the bug is still there.
I tried to start squid after networking by changing the start on line
in /etc/init/squid.conf to

ModemManager waits to get all modems properly disabled and all modem

Kernel Oops - BUG: unable to handle kernel NULL pointer
I have a problem that is maybe related: I noticed that the screenshots
for Luciole and Stopmotion where inverted in Software Center on my
computer. I am not able to reproduce this for the moment. I just know
that I installed those two one right after the other.
Here are two screenshots to show
I'll better explain my troubles.
When I try to use nvclock (eg I launch sudo nvclock -S 50) i get a
Segmentation fault.
I'm sure this problem came out after the updates to my nvidia graphic card
drivers, that I did (through update manager) on 2012-04-12.
