The problem is the revocation_cache_time setting needs to be set or else
it treats it as a string. Simply uncomment the setting in the
/etc/ceilometer/ceilometer.conf file and restart the service.

Do you mean a physically connected microphone? I never used one with this
Notebook...
I did not find a command/script 'hda-jack-sense-test'...
When I connect ear phones the connection is noticed by the desktop
environment, so it seems there is some jack detection at least for the
phones.

Public bug reported:
installer chrashed on install
ProblemType: Bug
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 14.04
Package: ubiquity 2.18.8 [modified:
lib/partman/automatically_partition/question]
ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.13.0-32.57-generic 3.13.11.4
Uname: Linux 3.13.0-32-generic i686
ApportVersion: 2.14.1-
The kernel you prepared me replaced the 3.13.11-03131106-generic kernel
you gave me before.
This new version DOES *NOT* WORK, it shows exactly the same visual and
functional phenomenon, collapse.
Looking forward to the next test,
Péter.
