gnuradio-companion (part of gnuradio) does not start if python-numpy is
not installed.
However python-numpy is only installed as a dependency of python-
matplotlib which in turn is only a "recomended by" gnuradio.
python-numpy needs to be a dependency of gnuradio.

Currently using Xubuntu 15.05 Vivid.
Attempting to use a laptop/tablet hybrid 64-bit Intel machine in tablet

Serge, I think the real question is how it can work for some people,
without the
/usr/lib/pt_chown ix,
how can it work at all (for VMs with a serial port backed by a pty
device, which should be the default with a typical libvirt deployment).

Looks like this bug tracks a change in an error message, which is
strange since most users will be very confused about why this is
hitting. For instance, my hard drive has 132 of 148 gigs free (89%
free). The system telling me to, "free disk space" will do little to
help help clear the matter up.
