I finally could get back to my laptop, and I have tried Kau-Heng's
patched kernel 4.15.0-22 . I confirm that the webcam now works as
expected. Thanks a lot Kay-Heng and Mario.

I have raised it with systemd-resolved.
The internal resolver of systemd does not properly search the local dns. Only

Try https://unicode.org/emoji/charts/full-emoji-list.html and look at
the Browser column which should match the Google column. (There are a

4.14.0 final crashed hard after running 17 hours. Not only was the
ethernet not-responsive, neither was the console, not even the magic

60.0+build2, localization is deactivated presenting the browser only in

You know the saying "'ass-u-me' makes an *** out of u and me..."
There has never been any way to SYSTEMATICALLY reproduce the bug, I have
just observed it RANDOMLY from time to time, so, you being unable to
reproduce
There are many logs attached like the syslog, so you should have any
information.
I'm not running the software or have access to the hardware anymore.

I just installed Windows 10's April 2018 Update, and it looks like it
enabled Fast Startup again.
I've got Ubuntu 18.04 now, with duplicity/bionic,now 0.7.17-0ubuntu1
amd64 [installed]. And the bug remains:

I have been testing the Kernel 4.16.0 for two days, so far suspend and resume
has been working without hanging
However, whenever I suspend and resume, at least once, when I try to shut down
the system hangs and only accepts REISUB or forced shutdown.

Possibly when I installed mainline 4.17rc4 Kernel in recovery mode with

I have two monitors, one above & slightly to right of the primary one

I am experiencing the same behavior in Xubuntu 18.04 (has been a problem
for a while) when using "open with" on the .deb package from Thunar
(right mouse menu). If I start gdebi-gtk from the command line and use
the "file open" menu option then everything works ok.

I have run the test plan on a Bionic VM, which passed all relevant tests
successfully - I have noted the version of flatpak used below. Therefore
I am marking this as verification-done-bionic.
