Solution in #32 worked for me after an upgrade like #34 and seems to
explain the problem, but it's obviously a workaround.

I'm seeing this too with the latest Adobe x86_64 plugin (10.0 r32). As
workarounds I can disable the Flash plugin using the Tools-Add-ons
Disable button, or configure Flashblock to not allow gmail to use Flash,
and then it starts without crashing.

The machine I originally encountered this problem on was a Toshiba
Portege M400 tablet with an Intel Duo processor of some kind. I no
longer have the original machine, though I do have another supposedly
identical machine.
Gutsy won't run KVM on this machine at all, it just dies with exception
