One last thing I can think of for you to try:
Whisker menu, All Settings, Light Locker Settings, turn "Lock on
suspend" Off, hit Apply, turn "Lock on suspend" On, hit Apply.
Reboot and re-test.

I have had this problem as well when locking the screen on suspend/lid
close with Xubuntu 14.04.1 (with all updates applied) while using light-
locker for the lock screen.
If using JUST the light-locker-settings, then only one setting is set,
and no issue:

I think you misunderstand my initial bug report.
Hot / cold reboot has got nothing to do with the operating temperature
of the system.
1) A hot reboot is when you select "reboot" in what ever system you are
running.
2) A cold reboot is when you power of the system completely. And then
restart.
And how can icedtea work in v7 of firefox if it is defunct?

LightDM fails with the nvidia-current package and ends up at a terminal
screen with a failure from plymouth and lightdm. I did a workaround and
installed GDM and chose that over lightdm and subsequently the reboot
took me right back to the GDM login screen and GPU acceleration
It seems the system (ubuntu) mute and the hw (Lenovo) mute status'es can
get out of sync. For example the sound applets shows no mute and the hw
mute lamp does. And vice verca.
Work around:
Set the hardware and the applet to mute off (sound on) - reboot. The
status is now in sync for the mute set

The issue is also on the latest 9.04.
However I think I accidently solved this. Follow these steps:
1) boot laptop normally.
2) Go into hibernation
3) Start from hibernation
4) reboot pc immediatly after restart from hibernation
5) PC now does not hang, but boots just fine
I am more and more
Oh ok...so there is no chance to get it running ? :(
