I asked this question here - http://askubuntu.com/question
I have the following line in my crontab
@reboot sleep 20 && screen -d -S syncthing -m syncthing
I added a 20 second delay to avoid race conditions, but from the last 4
boots, I have a mail that says -
Cannot make directory '/var/run/screen': Permission denied
What possibly changed with my sleep
I was also getting the same problem when anything is plugged into my usb
3 ports. I installed kernel 3.15.7 and the problem disappeared. So this
issue is fixed upstream. It would be great if someone can backport it to
ubuntu 14.04.
Thanks,

I am seeing is this for the last two weeks.
I have been using Ubuntu 12.04 Since a week after its release and been

I am using the distro provided Libre office and not using external PPAs

I installed the kernel and the device is being detected:

Would be possible to compile an armhf kernel. I am currently running
armhf and so unable to test it.
I am not sure if this is helpful, I have a kernel that I compiled from
source. I build all the modules I need loaded into the kernel, my
personal preference.
$ cat /boot/config-3.2.1-omap4 | grep
Rebuilding the kernel with module built-in similar to Oneiric works. The
OTG port is detected without issues.
