I'm not sure if I know how to test this. `livecd-rootfs` is used to
create the buildd Ubuntu images that we use, but I'm just a consumer of
these images and don't know how to create one.
FWIW, now that Noble is out (and has this fix), backporting to Mantic is
not a priority for us.
The extension pack failed to install after installing Vrtualbox-5.2 dkms.
DKMS stands for Dynamic Kernel Module Support.

I found a workaround that works fine for my i5 laptop with nvidia
optimus card.
Install the latest nvidia drivers and reboot. After that the user switch
does work again.

Using LUbuntu Precise (12.04) on my TC1100.
Using the stock install, there is absolutely no response whatsoever from
the system when I trigger the three stylus buttons. Not when I cat
/dev/input/*, nor out of xev.
I manually applied the second wcmISDV4.c.patch file listed under patches
on the rig
I can't comment on whether it was fixed or not, but in Precise (xserver-
xorg-input-wacom), it doesn't work.
I've tried triggering all three buttons on my tc1100 while cat'ing
/dev/input/* and none of 'em so much as twitch.

I solved my grub/kernel issues.
It turns out that "/etc/grub.d/05_debian_theme" was pointing to a
background image file that didn't exist. That was causing update-grub
to fail, which prevented either grub or kernel updates from succeeding.

Latest Edgy as of today, amd64 build, on an acer ferarri 3200 laptop.
I've started getting incessant popups in the lower right hand corner
telling me that my battery is full, about one every five minutes. The
laptop is plugged in and
I encountered this bug as well. I was running the fglrx driver and the
upgrade to 7.1.1 broke it. I figured I'd just edit the
/etc/X11/xorg.conf file to use ati instead, but it came up with the
version mismatch error and wouldn't load. It turns out that you can fix
it by upgrading xserver-xorg-v
